The dollar store can be great place to find objects you can work with and transform.
In this project I transform a dollar store acrylic plate into a piece of art. I used reverse glass painting to paint this plate. Reverse glass painting is a technique where you paint on the back of a glass or any transparent medium. The design is worked backwards – meaning the design elements that you want right in front is painted first. And then the second element and so on. This results in a painting that gives a lot of depth and character.
This plate now proudly sits in my living room. And I have received so may compliments about the way it turned out.
